USA Lacrosse offers a comprehensive introduction to the sport and equipment.

All SYLC players must have a valid 

USA Lacrosse membership.

How does our family register? 

The easiest way to register is through our site links or contact SLYC. 

What is the uniform?

The uniform consists of a game day reversible pinnie and shorts. These are included in the registration fee and the players to keep and maintain.

When and where do we practice? 

We use fields at Frank G. Lindsey and Sprout Brook for practice. We practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Any changes to the schedule are posted on the TeamSnap app. 

What equipment does my child need? 

Grades 1-6 need a Helmet, Shoulder Pads, Gloves, Elbow Pads, Mouth Guard, Athletic Cup and a stick. 

Where can I buy Lacrosse Equipment? 

Dick's Sporting goods in Yorktown and Lacrosse Unlimited in Mt. Kisco carry lacrosse gear. Additionally, many online stores like Sportstop.com, Lacrossemonkey.com, and Lacrosseunlimited.com have an excellent selection of new and discounted closeout lacrosse gear, as well as bundle deals.

What does my registration fee go towards? 

We determine the registration fee by adding up all our costs and looking at the number of estimated participants. The fee covers referees and officials, uniforms, personal and team equipment (goalie equipment, goals, nets, cones, balls etc.), medical kits, and jamboree and tournament fees.

What is U.S. Lacrosse? 

The national governing body of men's and women's lacrosse. All players will become members of U.S. Lacrosse to participate in SYLC activities.
